U4GM How to Complete Cityscapes in MLB The Show 26
May's Cityscapes drop changed the Diamond Dynasty routine in MLB The Show 26, mostly because it gives players a lot to do without forcing one single path. If you're saving MLB The Show 26 stubs, the smart play is to work through the free pieces first. The program arrived on May 1 with a 100-point track, a collection, packs, Diamond Quest rewards, Mini Seasons rewards, an exchange card, and Chase Pack content. It's built around Houston, St. Louis, Milwaukee, the Twin Cities, Chicago, and Cityscapes Series missions, so you're not just grinding random stats for no reason.
How the Cityscapes Program Pays Out
The program uses points, not global XP milestones, and it has 20 reward stops. Early on, you'll pick up XP, packs, and small Stub rewards, but the real reason to finish it is the five player cards. At 20 points, you get 90 OVR J.R. Richard. At 40, it's 90 OVR Willie McGee. At 60, you unlock 91 OVR Rollie Fingers. At 80, 91 OVR Brian Dozier joins the squad. Then, at 100 points, the track ends with 92 OVR Ian Happ. There's also a Deluxe Cityscapes Pack at 95 points, which matters if you're pushing the collection.
Missions That Don't Feel Too Narrow
You've got five Moments worth 25 total points, and they're worth doing right away. No lineup building, no market planning, just finish them and move on. The missions cover normal play: 18 strikeouts, 12 innings pitched, 63 total bases, 20 runs, 26 hits, and 6,000 Parallel XP with any players. Team PXP is where you'll want to be a bit more careful. Astros, Cardinals, Orioles, Brewers, Braves, Twins, Cubs, and White Sox players can all help depending on the mission. There's some conflicting reporting on a few point values, but the basic plan is simple: stack eligible hitters and pitchers, then let several missions move at once.
The Collection Is the Real Hook
The Cityscapes Collection has three big checkpoints. Collect 12 cards for 92 OVR Clay Buchholz, 24 for 93 OVR Jimmy Rollins, and 30 for 93 OVR Mickey Mantle. Rollins and Mantle stand out because switch-hitters always get attention in Diamond Dynasty, especially early in a cycle. The collection pulls from several places: the program, packs, Mini Seasons, Diamond Quest, the Robin Yount exchange, and Chase content. Aroldis Chapman is the Chase 8 prize at 94 OVR, while Michael Young and Dave Parker come through Diamond Quest. Robin Yount is tied to an 82+ OVR exchange, so don't rush into buying pack cards before checking what you can earn.
Other May Content Worth Watching
Cityscapes also connects to the 3rd Inning Program, which started May 8 and runs to June 5. That path includes a Cityscapes Deluxe Pack at 140,000 XP, so patient players get another shot at collection help. There's also a 1,000 XP mission tied to completing the Robin Yount exchange, though it doesn't appear to reward players who finished it before the 3rd Inning window. Around the same time, Bobby Witt Jr. received Takeover content, separate from his 91 OVR Live Series shortstop card. If you're chasing Live Series Witt, standard packs are a long shot at 1 in 4,000, so checking prices through the MLB The Show 26 marketplace is usually the cleaner route when the Stub cost feels fair.
